Big Horned on Campus

Montana State University is home to more than just college students and their professors. For almost 20 years, the top of one building has been a favorite roosting spot to great horned owls in the summer.

Elliott Kennerson, alum of the 2007 Metcalf Institute Annual Workshop for Journalists, filmed the birds for "Big Horned on Campus," which follows their last season on campus. The birds became quite an attraction on campus and raised a pair of chicks on the ledges of Leon Johnson Hall.
